CRYPTO TERMS
New to crypto? Here are some basics to help you understand the Yibbles ecosystem.
Wallet
A digital container that holds your crypto and allows you to interact with blockchain apps. Think of it like a username and password combined.
Token
A digital item on the blockchain. Yibble tokens represent your connection to a specific yibble character.
Blockchain
A public digital ledger that records all transactions. Like a shared spreadsheet that everyone can see but no one can change.
Solana
The blockchain network Yibbles runs on. Known for fast transactions and low fees.
Bonding Curve
A pricing formula where token prices automatically adjust based on supply. More kindred joining = higher price. Kindred leaving = lower price.
Kindred
Community members who have adopted a yibble. Your kindred count shows how many people have joined the community.
Gas Fees
Small fees paid to process transactions on the blockchain. Like postage for sending digital packages.
Slippage
The difference between expected price and actual price when a transaction completes. Prices can change between when you click and when it processes.
Smart Contract
Code that automatically executes when conditions are met. Yibble trades happen through smart contractsβno middlemen needed.
Liquidity
How easily you can trade in or out of a position. Higher liquidity = easier trades with less price impact.
β οΈ Remember: Crypto is experimental and speculative. Only participate with what you can afford to lose completely.
